Consultation and Engagement
All councils are expected to consult on specific areas of their service delivery, allowing service users and other interested parties opportunity to be involved in planning, prioritising and monitoring of services.
Current consultation and engagement activity and previous consultations at Orkney Islands Council can be accessed from the 'More pages in this section' menu.

How does OIC consult with the community?
The Council has adopted consultation and engagement guidelines which were developed by the Orkney Community Planning Partnership in 2009. The guidelines are regularly updated to reflect new learning and best practice.
The Community Consultation and Engagement Guide can be viewed on The Orkney Partnership website from the 'Related Sites' section of this page.
