Co-ordinated Support Plans
A co-ordinated support plan (CSP) is a statutory document that is drawn up by the local authority for the small number of children and young people who have additional support needs, arising from complex and multiple factors, which require a high degree of co-ordination between education authorities and other relevant agencies.
Full guidance on co-ordinated support plans can be found in the Code of Practice (chapter 5). A link is available from the Related Sites section of this page.
The 'Process School Uses to Decide on the Creation of a Coordinated Support Plan' document, available from the Related Downloads section, summarises the process a school would use, leading to the decision to request the creation of a CSP for a child or young person, and the subsequent actions and responses.
The 'Process for Creating a Coordinated Support Plan' document, available from the 'Related Downloads' section of this page, summarises the process for creating a Coordinated Support Plan.
