Orkney Health and Care Children and Families Services provide health and social care services for children, young people and families in Orkney. We aim to deliver integrated services that will improve the health and social well-being of our local children and families’ population. Integration of OIC and NHS Children’s services is an ongoing process, with a focus on supporting, equipping and developing our staff to allow them to provide safe, effective care and support to children and their families. This service includes social work services, school health services, health services for children with complex needs, community child health and maternity services.

A full range of Criminal Justice Social Work services is also provided, including the preparation of Criminal Justice Social Work reports for Courts, Supervision of Offenders in the community, Through Care services in relation to serving prisoners, Diversion from Prosecution, and supervision of Unpaid Work for the benefit of the community.
