The Orkney Islands Council (Off-Street Parking Places) (Amendment No. 1) Order 2019

Orkney Islands Council proposes to make an Order under Section 35 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 amending The Orkney Islands Council (off street parking places) Order 2017 (hereinafter called the 2017 Order) in order to increase the excess charge incurred for contravention of any Article of the 2017 Order from £30 to £60. The excess charge will be reduced to £30 for payments made within 14 days of the date on which the excess charge was incurred and, in terms of the 2017 Order, an additional excess charge of £15 will be payable if the excess charge remains unpaid 42 days after the date on which the excess charge was incurred. The parking places to which the 2017 Order relates are noted in the Schedule below.

Objections to the proposal, specifying the grounds on which they are made, should be sent in writing to the Interim Chief Executive, Orkney Islands Council, Council Offices, Kirkwall, KW15 1NY not later than 17:00 on Friday 26 July 2019.
