Orkney Community Wind Farms OIC Staff Drop-In Session

The Council’s Strategic Projects team would like to invite you to an OIC staff drop-in session on Friday, 10 November from 1pm – 2pm in the Council Chamber. This is an opportunity for you to find out what’s planned and get an update on Orkney Community Wind Farms with staff from our team on hand to answer any queries you may have.   A few of the topics we’ll be covering are:  

• How Orkney Community Wind Farms will make an essential contribution to the new 220MW transmission link recently approved by Ofgem.

• The potential financial benefits that the wind farms could bring to Orkney.

• How the wind farms will contribute to Orkney’s net zero aspirations.

• Where we are in the project and what happens next.
