What is Disability Confident?
The Disability Confident Scheme is a government initiative that encourages employers to increase the number of disabled people they hire into their organisation, The scheme is voluntary and contains 3 “levels” participating organisation can achieve.
We are committed to:
- Ensuring our recruitment process is accessible and inclusive to all.
- Communicating our vacancies using a variety of platforms to encourage a wider diversity of applicants.
- Offering an interview to disabled people who meet the minimum criteria on the job description.
- Providing reasonable adjustments during each stage of our colleagues’ employment with us.
- Supporting our existing colleagues to sustain their employment with us.

How do I indicate I have a disability when applying for a job?
On our application from, we ask “ Do you consider yourself to have a disability?” You should select this box if it applies to you. However, if you don’t select this box , you can still share this information later stage if you wish.
How to I ask for reasonable adjustments for the application process?
If you’re disabled, we can make reasonable adjustments to our recruitment processes according to your needs. Please contact the interview panel on the job advert to discuss further. We are committed to reducing barriers disabled candidates face when applying for jobs.
What if I require an adjustment to be made for an interview?
If you are invited for an interview, you should book a time that works best for you. You will receive a confirmation email confirming all interview details. The confirmation email will include contact details on how to request any adjustments you might need for your interview.
