I was expecting a review update at 3am – but the notification didn’t come out until 3.30am. Why was that?
We do our best to provide updates as close as possible to the stated times but there are times when there could be a delay, if our Police colleagues are called away to an emergency for example or if conditions are marginal and it’s felt that a few more minutes of observation would be helpful. Generally, we want to minimise the number and duration of closures and sometimes it may be that waiting for a few more minutes may allow us to open the barriers earlier than predicted.
