Dounby's Place Plan

Local Place Plans provide an opportunity for communities to discuss and raise suggestions for the future of their places and create a dialogue between the Council and other key stakeholders.

The Draft Dounby Place Plan (known as the Dounby Community Plan) has been produced following a number of consultations over the last three years and through continued collaboration with the Birsay Community Council and the Sandwick and Harray Community Council. The Dounby Community Plan details some of the challenges that the community have identified and the changes they would like to see within their village going forward.

We are seeking the views of the wider Dounby community to check that the priorities and ambitions within the document are up-to-date and relevant. We would appreciate any comments to be returned to us by the 30th August 2024.  Following this, the document will be finalised and registered as a Local Place Plan.
