Active Schools Young Leader Award (9 – 13 years old)

The Young Leader Award is a programme of leadership training for young people between the ages of 9 and 13 that teaches leadership skills and promotes working with younger children, through a range of games and activities. The Young Leader Award has been designed for use in a variety of different delivery settings, including primary and secondary schools, uniformed organisations and sports and community groups.

Level 4 Qualification in Sport Leadership (12 year +)

The Level 4 Award in Sports Leadership provides the ideal starting point for learners who wish to develop their leadership skills, whilst under the direct supervision of a suitably qualified adult. The syllabus is designed to develop generic leadership skills that can be applied to a variety of sports and/or recreational situations as well as contributing to the personal development of the learner.  This is a practical qualification in which learners must demonstrate their ability to lead others in simple sport/activity.

Level 5 Qualification in Sports Leadership/Community Sport Leadership (13 years +)

The Level 5 Award in Community Sports Leadership is a nationally recognised qualification that enables successful candidates to lead sports and activity under indirect supervision. The qualification teaches generic leadership skills such as organisation, planning, communication and team work through the medium of sport.
