Marches and Processions
Public processions, marches and parades are all licensed by the Council who work closely with Police Scotland to ensure that these events are organised in a safe manner and cause minimal disruption and inconvenience.
The rules governing public processions, marches and parades require that organisers of public processions, marches and parades must give the Council at least 28 days notice of an intention to hold a public procession.
If you wish to apply, please complete the Notice of Proposal to Hold a Public Procession form, including Risk Assessment and Code of Conduct, which you must agree and adhere to.

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) came into force on 25 May 2018.
Application forms and guidance issued by Orkney Islands Council (the Council) in relation to civic and miscellaneous licences will be updated.
