Sample Tenancy Documents

The following documents are sample notices for use with The Private Residential Tenancy which was introduced on 1 December 2017 to replace assured and short assured tenancies. Sample notices are still available for ending assured and short assured tenancies.

Please note that these notices are samples only and Orkney Islands Council accepts no liability for any loss incurred as a result of using these documents. You should consult a solicitor if you are in any doubt as to the implications of these documents.

Beginning a tenancy

• The Private Residential Tenancy Model Agreement (there is no requirement to provide the Tenant Information Pack after 1 December 2017).
