How do I apply for Council Housing?
We operate a common housing register with Orkney Housing Association Ltd (OHAL). This means that you need only complete one form to be considered for housing with both organisations. You can choose to only be considered by one if you wish, in which case you would indicate this on the form.
In the related downloads section of this page is the application pack for applying to both Orkney Islands Council and Orkney Housing Association Ltd for housing. You should use the information in the pack to help you to complete the application form and return it to either:
- Orkney Islands Council, School Place, Kirkwall, Orkney, KW15 1NY.
- Orkney Housing Association Ltd, 39A Victoria Street, Kirkwall, Orkney, KW15 1DN.
Guidance on completing this form is given within the Important Information leaflet within the related downloads section of this page. If you require any help in completing the form, please contact either the Council's Housing Services on 01856873535 or via e-mail, or OHAL on 01856875253 or via e-mail.
