Free Period Products for Orkney Residents

As an Orkney resident you are entitled to free period products which are available in many public buildings including all council run public toilets and on the internal ferry services.  Our aim is to make them as easy to obtain as possible, so you will also find them in our gents toilets as they don't have to be for yourself, you can pick them up for someone else.  This also enables us to be as inclusive as possible. 

The map below shows all of the current locations where you can get the free period products.  In addition they are available at all of the local schools, school nurses, health visitors and the Orkney Food Bank.

We are currently undertaking a pilot which allows residents to order products online and have them delivered direct to your door, including a number of reusable products which some might prefer to use.  We hope that this new method will make it even easier for those in more rural areas where public buildings are less readily available.  If you would like to take up this option please order well in advance and allow up to 8 weeks for delivery.
