Sustainable Procurement Policy

This Sustainable Procurement Policy has been prepared to support Orkney’s sustainable development. Following a public consultation process in July/August 2021, the Policy has been revised and updated and approved by the Council in March 2022. The policy sets out the aims of this Council to ensure that sustainability is incorporated into our procurement and commissioning activities to ensure that it is undertaken in a sustainable manner and for the benefit of not only the Council, but also to our island communities, the economy and the environment.
