S4GI
The Scottish 4G Infill Programme exists to improve rural 4G coverage in areas where it is not commercially viable. It is a £28.75 million programme to deliver 4G mobile infrastructure and services in selected areas otherwise unable to receive 4G services from any mobile network operator. Several new sites have been built in Orkney as a result of this programme leading to greater coverage.
