About Us

No One Left Behind (NOLB) is revolutionising employability in Scotland, and in Orkney, we're driving change through the Orkney Local Employability Partnership. Established in 2020, our multi-agency approach ensures collaborative efforts to deliver effective employability services across Orkney. Our goal is to uplift as many Orkney residents as possible out of poverty through sustainable and fair work.

Background to the Fund

In support of No One Left Behind, the Orkney Local Employability Partnership is proud to introduce a one-off Innovation Challenge Fund for the financial year 2023/24. This fund is dedicated to developing innovative approaches that support individuals facing specific challenges hindering their progress towards and within employment.

Fund Details

  • Open To: Constituted third-sector organisations in Orkney
  • Maximum Funding: £10,000.00
  • Application Deadline: 29th February 2024
  • Project Completion Deadline: 31st March 2025

Project Criteria

We encourage projects that:

  • Add value to existing initiatives, boosting parents' confidence, skills, network, and knowledge.
  • Pilot new approaches to engage parents in priority groups, enhancing local support awareness.
  • Co-design projects with parents to break barriers and increase access to training, learning, and work.

Priority Groups

  • Parents in lower income households
  • Younger parents (under 25)
  • Parents with 3 or more children
  • Parents with children under 1 year old
  • Parents with a disability or with a child with a disability
  • Single parents
  • Parents of Black Ethnic Minority groups
