North Isles Councillor Heather Woodbridge has been appointed to sit on several committees.

Following the resignation of Councillor David Dawson, Councillor Woodbridge was appointed to the Orkney Health and Care Committee and as a result will be a proxy member of the Integration Joint Board and was further appointed to the Clinical and Care Governance Committee.

Councillor Woodbridge, who was elected in October this year, said, at this week’s Full Council meeting, that she was “delighted” to take up the appointments. No other nominations were made.

Chair of the IJB Councillor Rachael King commented: “Heather will bring a valuable perspective and an isles viewpoint to the Orkney Health and Care Committee and to the Care and Clinical Governance Committee of the Orkney Integration Joint Board.”
