Westray refuse collection postponed

Orkney Islands Council is advising today’s (Monday 10 October) refuse collection in Westray is unable to go ahead due to ferry cancellations.

Households are advised to take their bins back in for now.

The Council’s waste team is aiming to get the refuse lorry booked onto a ferry in the next couple of days.

A further update will be issued once a sailing has been confirmed.

Meantime the Council thanks the Westray community for their patience while their collection is rescheduled.
