Waste Management Sites - Festive Period Closures 

A guide to waste and recycling centre opening hours over the 2024-25 festive period.

Household Recycling and Waste Users Only

Cursiter Quarry Recycling Point 

The Cursiter Recycling Point will close at 3.45pm on Tuesday 24 December 2024 and will not reopen until 8am on Friday 3 January 2025.

Hatston and Garson Recycling Centres and St Margaret’s Hope Recycling Point

The above recycling centres or points will be closed on Wednesday 25 and Thursday 26 December 2024, and closed also for the New Year public holidays on Wednesday 1 and Thursday 2 January 2025. They will remain open on other days as per normal hours throughout and after the festive period.

Bossack Recycling Centre

The Bossack Recycling Centre will be closed on Wednesday 25 and Thursday 26 December 2024. Then closed on Wednesday 1 and Thursday 2 January 2025. This site will remain open on other days as per normal hours throughout and after the festive period.

Business Waste Users Only

Bossack Landfill Site (Commercial users)

The Landfill Site at Bossack will close at 3.45pm on Tuesday 24 December 2024 and remain closed until 8am on Friday 27 December 2024, closing again on Wednesday 1 and Thursday 2 January 2025. Otherwise, normal opening hours will apply.

Chinglebraes Waste Transfer Station (Commercial users)

The Waste Transfer Station at Chinglebraes will be closed on Wednesday 25, Thursday 26 December 2024 and Wednesday 1, Thursday 2 January 2025. It will remain open on other days as per normal hours throughout and after the festive period.

Normal operating hours for all customers will resume from Monday 6 January 2025.
