Mainland, Linked South Isles and Shapinsay
Domestic and commercial refuse collection days over the Christmas and New Year period (Monday 23 December to Friday 3 January inclusive), for Mainland, linked South Isles and Shapinsay are shown in the table below. (Isles customers should check the information at this link). Please note some collections may be brought forward/moved back a few days, to avoid the above public holidays.
Regular waste collections will resume on Monday 6 January 2025.

Domestic Recycling Information
Please note alterations to domestic recycling collections over the festive period (Monday 23 December to Friday 3 January inclusive). as with previous years, there will be no household kerbside recycling collections during the festive period between Monday 23 December and Friday 3 January inclusive.
