Want to make a difference in a child's life? Join Children's Hearings Scotland info session this Monday
Date: 21 September 2022
Children's Hearings Scotland (CHS) are recruiting for volunteer panel members across Scotland now to help support Scotland’s most vulnerable infants, children and young people.
Anyone interested in applying and looking for more information about the role is invited to join an Information Session on Monday 26 September at 7pm on Microsoft Teams. You will be able to speak to panel members and get a real feel for the role. To register for the session and to receive an invitation to the event, please email Annette Feeney .
CHS is looking for a diverse range of enthusiastic people aged 18 and over who can show empathy, compassion, trust and who have great listening skills.
Panel Members are volunteers from local communities who take part in children's hearings. Their role is to listen and make legal decisions with and for infants, children and young people. They are there to ensure that the young person is at the heart of every decision made – because every decision, no matter how big or small, has an impact on the life of the child or young person in the hearing.
CHS offers a training and development programme, and a very supportive and experienced team who will help you along your journey in becoming a panel member.
You can apply at www.chscotland.gov.uk
Closing Date: Thursday 6 October.
Proposed Interview date: Weeks beginning 24 October and 31 October.
