Orkney Islands Area Licensing Board has received the following application for variation of premises licence:

Applicant: Deerness Distillery Ltd, Newhall, Deerness KW17 2QJ.

Premises: Deerness Distillery, Newhall, Deerness KW17 2QJ.

Date by which objections may be made to the Board: 25 March 2024.

Variations applied for:

  • Increase to footprint of licensed premises by extension of distillery to include shop and cafe, outdoor area and tasting room.
  • To permit on-sales from 10:00 to 23:00 each day with capacity of 200 persons.
  • To permit activities of Outdoor drinking facilities, Conference facilities, Restaurant facilities, Bar meals, Receptions, Club or other group meetings and Live performances in addition to previously permitted Recorded music for distillery.
