The Orkney Islands Council (Watergate, Kirkwall) (Temporary Closure) Order 2023

Orkney Islands Council has made the above-named Order under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to ensure the safety of the public and road users while Historic Environment Scotland carry out inspections of the Bishop’s Palace walls.
The Order will be in operation from Monday 30 October 2023 to Friday 17 November 2023. The effect of the Order will be to close Watergate between its junctions with Palace Road and Buttquoy Place.
Traffic signs will be erected to indicate when the road is closed.
