The Orkney Islands Council (Variable 20 mph Speed Limit and 30 mph Speed Limit Extension) (Finstown) Order 2023

On 30 January 2024, Orkney Islands Council made the above-named order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The effect of the order, which comes into operation on 18 March 2024, will be to create a variable twenty miles per hour speed limit and extend the existing thirty miles per hour speed limit on sections of the following roads in Finstown:
Variable Twenty Miles Per Hour Limit.
- A965 east from its junction with A966 to the war memorial.
- A965 west from its junction with A966 to 5m west of the Grandon Road junction.
- A966 from its junction with A965 to the property named Govilon.
Extension to Existing Thirty Miles Per Hour Limit.
- C1, Old Finstown Road, Finstown from the current thirty miles per hour speed limit at the northwestmost corner of the property named Avallon to a point five metres southeast of the entrance to the property named Lindean.
- A965, Finstown from the current thirty miles per hour speed limit, forty six metres southeast of the southeastmost corner of the property named The Boathouse to a point twenty three metres east of the eastern entrance of the property named Atlantis Lodges.
- A966, Finstown from the current thirty miles per hour speed limit, nine metres northeast of the telephone exchange to five metres northeast of the access to the property named Heddon.
