The Orkney Islands Council (St Magnus Lane and St Magnus Lane Car Park, Kirkwall) (Temporary Closure) Order 2022

Orkney Islands Council has made the above-named Order under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to ensure the safety of the public and road users during Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks’ works in connection with the replacement of an electrical sub-station.

The Order will be in operation from Monday, 24 October 2022 to Friday, 11 November 2022, and its effect will be to close (1) St Magnus Lane, between the public toilets and Junction Road; (2) St Magnus Lane car park; and (3) footway at Castleyards, between St Magnus Lane and the accesses to Numbers 14 and 15 Castleyards, all Kirkwall, when required. Traffic signs will be erected to indicate when the road, car park or footway are closed.
