The Orkney Islands Council (Roads in Deerness) (Temporary Closure) Order 2022

Orkney Islands Council has made the above-named Order under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to ensure the safety of site personnel and road users while road maintenance works are carried out.

The Order will come into operation on Monday 1 August 2022 for the period until and including Friday 12 August 2022 and its effect will be to close the roads specified in the undernoted Annex, when required. Vehicles using such roads will be subject to delays and possible speed restrictions of ten, twenty or thirty miles per hour. Vehicular traffic may also be restricted to using one lane of the carriageway. Traffic signs will be erected to indicate when a road is closed.
