The Orkney Islands Council (Road Maintenance 3) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024

Orkney Islands Council has made the above-named Order under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to ensure the safety of site personnel and road users while road maintenance works are carried out.
The Order will come into operation on Tuesday, 24 December 2024 for the period until and including Monday, 31 March 2025 and its effect will be to close the roads specified in the undernoted Schedule, when required. Vehicles using such roads will be subject to delays and possible speed restrictions of ten, twenty or thirty miles per hour. Vehicular traffic may also be restricted to using one lane of the carriageway. Traffic signs will be erected to indicate when a road is closed.
