The Orkney Islands Council (Platinum Jubilee) (Temporary Closure) Order 2022

Orkney Islands Council has made the above-named Order under Section 62 of the Roads (Scotland) Act 1984 to ensure the safety of the public and road users to enable the Platinum Jubilee event to be held in safety.

The Order will be in operation from Thursday 2 June 2022 between the hours of 8.30pm and 10pm and its effect will be to close Albert Street (Laing Street to Broad Street); Broad Street; Castle Street (car park exit to Broad Street); Palace Road (Watergate to Broad Street); Tankerness Lane (One Way section only); and Victoria Street (Broad Street to Victoria Road), when required.

Traffic signs will be erected to indicate when a road is closed.
