The Orkney Islands Council (Junction Road, Pickaquoy Road and others, Kirkwall) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024

Orkney Islands Council has made the above-named Order under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to ensure the safety of the public and road users during works by R Clouston Ltd on development sites.

The Order will be in operation from 7 October 2024 to 24 December 2025. The effect of the Order will be to close (1) Gunns Close car park; (2) Junction Road, between Union Street and West Castle Street; (3) Pickaquoy Road, between Great Western Road and Junction Road; (4) West Castle Street; and (5) West Tankerness Lane, all Kirkwall, when required. Traffic signs will be erected to indicate when a road or car park road is closed.
