The Orkney Islands Council (General Carriageway Works and Repairs) (Temporary Closure) Order 2023

Orkney Islands Council has made the above-named Order under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to ensure the safety of site personnel and road users while general carriageway and repairs are carried out.

The Order will come into operation on 1 April 2023 for the period until and including 31 March 2024 and its effect will be to close the sections of the roads referred to in the Schedule below, when required. Traffic signs will be erected to indicate when a road is closed.

Schedule

Roads in Stromness:

Alfred Street, Dundas Street, Ferry Road, Graham Place, John Street, Ness Road, South End, and Victoria Street.

Roads in Kirkwall:

Albert Street, Bridge Street, Main Street, Tankerness Lane, and Victoria Street.
