The Orkney Islands Council (Festive Anchor Points) (Temporary Closure) Order 2022

Orkney Islands Council has made the above-named Order under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to ensure the safety of the public and road users during Orkney Islands Council’s works in connection with festive anchor points.
The Order will be in operation from Monday 29 August to Friday 9 September and its effect will be to close the roads referred to in the Schedule below, when required. Traffic signs will be erected to indicate when a road is closed.
Schedule
Roads in Kirkwall: Albert Street; Bridge Street; Broad Street; Castle Street, from car park exit to Broad Street; Main Street; Palace Road from Broad Street to Watergate; and Victoria Street.
Roads in St Margaret’s Hope: Cromarty Square and Back Road.
Roads in Stromness: Victoria Street from No14 to Graham Place; and Graham Place.
