The Orkney Islands Council (Cruise Liners) (Temporary Closure) Order 2022

Orkney Islands Council has made the above-named Order under Section 62 of the Roads (Scotland) Act 1984 to ensure the safety of the public and road users when cruise liner passenger are visiting Kirkwall.

The Order will be in operation from Wednesday 1 June 2022 and its effect will be to close Bridge Street and Albert Street, Kirkwall, between the hours of 10am and 4pm on the dates specified in the Schedule below.

Traffic signs will be erected to indicate when a road is closed.

1 June 2022, 9 June 2022, 10 June 2022, 30 June 2022, 13 July 2022, 24 July 2022, 28 July 2022, 24 August 2022, 16 September 2022 and 25 September 2022.
