The Orkney Islands Council (Coastal and Culvert Works) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024

Orkney Islands Council has made the above-named Order under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to ensure the safety of the public and road users during coastal and culvert works undertaken by them.

The Order will be in operation from Monday 4th November 2024 until Tuesday 24th December 2024. The effect of the Order will be to close (1) Branstane Road, Westray from property of Branstane to property of Cubbigeo, Westray; (2) Kirbuster Road, Stronsay from property of Fingeo to Property of Kirbuster, Stronsay; (3) B9052, between its Junctions with A961 and Moss Road, Holm; (4) Graemshall Road from Junction with B9052 to Biggins Road Junction, Holm; and (5) Haybrake Road, South Ronaldsay between its junctions with Claybraes Road and Aikers Road, South Ronaldsay , when required. Traffic signs will be erected to indicate when a road is closed.
