Temporary Closure of Roads in Stromness for Yule Log Pull Event

Notice is hereby given that Orkney Islands Council has made an order in terms of section 62 of the Roads (Scotland) Act 1984 to ensure the safety of the public and road users during Stromness Community Development Trust’s Yule Log Pull event.

The order will be in operation on Tuesday, 31 December 2024, between the hours of 12:30 and 17:30. The effect of the Order will be to close the roads specified in the Schedule below between the hours and on the date stated. Traffic signs will be erected to indicate when a road is closed.

Schedule Referred To (all roads in Stromness): Church Road, Dundas Street, Ferry Road (from the Stromness Ferry Terminal car park exit to Victoria Street), Graham Place, John Street and Victoria Street.
