Temporary Closure of Roads in Stromness for Orktoberfest Procession

Notice is hereby given that Orkney Islands Council has made an order in terms of section 62 of the Roads (Scotland) Act 1984 to ensure the safety of the public and road users during a torchlit procession.
The order will be in operation on Saturday 26 October 2024 and its effect will be to close the roads in the Schedule below between the hours of 16:15 and 19:15. Traffic signs will be erected to indicate when a road is closed.
Schedule
Alfred Street; Church Road; Dundas Street; Ferry Road (from Stromness Ferry Terminal car park exit to Victoria Street); Graham Place; John Street (from No 27 John Street to Victoria Street); Ness Road; South End; and Victoria Street, all in Stromness.
