Temporary Closure of Roads in Dounby for Fancy Dress Parade

Notice is hereby given that Orkney Islands Council has made an order in terms of section 62 of the Roads (Scotland) Act 1984 to ensure the safety of the public and road users while Dounby Athletic Club hold a Fancy Dress Parade.

The order will be in operation on Thursday 11 August 2022 and its effect will be to close the roads in the Schedule below between the hours of 18:30pm to 20:30pm.

Traffic signs will be erected to indicate when a road is closed.

Schedule

(1) the A986, from Smiddybrae House staff entrance to Nurses Cottage; (2) Swartland Road, Dounby, from the A986 to Flett’s Park; (3) Vetquoy Road (B9057), from the A986 to the property of Karinya, and (4) Hillside Road, Dounby (B9057) from the A986 to Market Green, Dounby.
