Temporary Closure of Roads for Hoy Cycling Event

Notice is hereby given that Orkney Islands Council has made an order in terms of section 62 of the Roads (Scotland) Act 1984 to ensure the safety of the public and road users while a cycling event takes place in Hoy for the official opening of the Scapa Flow Museum.

The order will be in operation on Saturday 29 April 2023 between the hours of 12:30 and 15:00. The effect of the Order will be to close (1) the B9048 from Lyness Pier to B9047; (2) B9047 from B9048 to Baldreys Road; and (3) Baldreys Road, between the hours on the day stated.

Traffic signs will be erected to indicate when a road is closed.
