Temporary Closure of Roads and Car Park in Kirkwall for Kirkwall Bid’s Halloween Parade

Notice is hereby given that Orkney Islands Council has made an order in terms of section 62 of the Roads (Scotland) Act 1984 to ensure the safety of the public and road users during Kirkwall Bid’s Halloween Parade.

The order will be in operation on Saturday, 29 October 2022 between the hours of 13:00 and 15:00. The effect of the Order will be to close the roads and car park specified in the Schedule below between the hours on the date stated. Traffic signs will be erected to indicate when the road and car park are closed.

Schedule (all roads or car park in Kirkwall)

Albert Street; Bridge Street; Broad Street; Broad Street car park; Castle Street (from car park exit to Broad Street); Laing Street; Palace Road (from Watergate to Broad Street); Tankerness lane (from Broad Street to end of one way section); Victoria Road (from Watergate to Victoria Street); and Victoria Street.
