Orkney’s Lee Inkster can be found scouring the county’s beaches on the hunt for seaglass and pottery to use within her creative art business Orkney Seaglass Crafts.

Like so many others, Lee has also found herself looking for ways to show support for the people of Ukraine.

She said: “When I read about Michelle Green’s vigil outside the Cathedral, it got me thinking….I made decorated seaglass at the start of the first lockdown and hid them around Stromness and Kirkwall for folk to find and I thought I could do the same this time, except using the colours of Ukraine.

“I have hidden them around Stromness and Kirkwall, some were handed out in Flotta at the vigil there, and there will be others available at the Blue Door on Sunday.

“It’s just a peedie minding and if people want to donate to the Ukrainian cause all the better.”

Lee’s is yet another example of someone taking a small step to make a difference.
