St Rognvalds staff to host 'Peedie County Show'
Date: 18 July 2022
Time: 05:20
Roll up, roll up….St Rognvald’s Peedie County Show is back this year!
Last year’s mini County Show event at the residential facility was such a success that it’s back on Saturday 23 July from 11am-4pm and friends and family members of residents are invited to join their loved ones for the day.
There will be music from Genuine Draft, Highland Dancers, animals, stalls, food from the Snak Pot, vintage vehicles, bake sale, bottle stall, face painting, sponge the staff, nail in the bail, ice cream van and a raffle.
Last year’s event was hailed a huge success giving the residents, families, friends and staff a very special day while also raising over £1,000 for the facility’s Activity Fund.
Kirstin Swannie, Senior Social Care Worker at St Rognvalds said: “Thanks to the wonderful help again from Highland Park, our marquees are up in preparation for our Peedie County Show and we are excited to bring another show event to our residents and delighted to welcome friends and family to join loved ones for the day. Given COVID remains within our community, the health and safety of our residents remains a priority.
“With this in mind, we would like to kindly ask that those attending please carry out a lateral flow prior to attending. Hand hygiene is also recommended to prevent spread of infection so hand sanitizer will be made available in various areas for everyone’s use. If anyone feels unwell or shows any symptoms (as much as we would love to see you all), please stay home. We will take plenty of wonderful photos to display for you all to see.”
