Staff at St Rognvald House in Kirkwall have been planning a series of events throughout 2024 for their biggest target yet – raising enough funds for a summer house, polytunnel and men’s shed for their new-build facility.

The additions will be accessible-friendly with various sided workbenches and planters to suit all abilities.

To help towards achieving their fundraising target of £30k, they have a number of exciting events – and they are kicking off with their “Peedie County Show” on Saturday 20 July.

Anyone is welcome along to St Rognvald’s between 11am-4pm.

There will be entertainment by young dancers, music, stalls, horse racing, vintage vehicles, animals, refreshments, including Tea in the Tent and a super raffle.

Manager, Inga Wilson, said: “Our marquees are in progress for our Peedie County Show, and we are excited to bring another show event to our residents and delighted to welcome friends and family to join loved ones for the day.

“We hope it will be lots of fun for everyone and raise a few pounds towards our fundraising target to achieve our ambitions.”
