School meals update

A ten pence increase in the price of school meals in Orkney will come into effect following the Easter break.

From Tuesday 19 April, a two course school meal will cost £2.70 for primary pupils and £2.80 for secondary pupils.

This is in line with a council decision, taken when setting the budget for 2022 to 2023.

Nursery children through to those in P5 are entitled to universal free school meals. Others may qualify for free school meals and clothing allowances depending on circumstances.
