Road closures in central Kirkwall coming up for community events

A reminder of road closures in central Kirkwall coming up, to enable folk to safely enjoy community events.

This Saturday 2 September, the following roads will be closed, between 6:30pm and 8:15pm:

• Albert Street, between its junctions with Laing Street and Broad Street)
• Broad Street, between its junction with Albert Street and Palace Road
• Castle Street, from Broad Street to car park exit on Castle Street

And looking ahead - the following Saturday (9 September) will also see closures in central Kirkwall, for pipe band parades and the Orkney International Science Festival.

The following roads will be closed between the hours of 12:15pm to 5pm, and again from 6pm to 8:30pm:

• Albert Street from Laing Street to Broad Street
• Broad Street from Albert Street to Palace Road
• Broad Street car park
• Castle Street from car park exit to Broad Street
