Private landlords and letting agents in Orkney are being invited to take part in national research surrounding the private rented tenancy regime and the impacts of Covid-19 emergency legislation.

The researchers at Indigo House Group, based in Edinburgh, say that whether you have one property or 500, they are interested in your views.

If any of the following apply to you then they are keen to hear from you:

  • You have tenants who are in receipt of benefits, or have in the past
  • The Coronavirus legislation has had an impact on your business or your tenants
  • You have been involved in disputes with tenants
  • The change to Private Residential Tenancies has had an impact on your business

The anonymous research interviews will be by phone and should take around 45 minutes, or you may be asked if you want to take part in a virtual video focus group. All interviews will be undertaken in line with data protection regulations.

The work is funded by Nationwide Foundation and supported by an Advisory Group including a range of stakeholders including ALACHO and Scottish Government.

More information is available on the RentBetter website.

If you would like to take part in this research, please contact Shona Fleming by email.  She will agree a suitable time with you for a discussion with one of the researchers.
