Printed bus timetables available

A reminder that a printed booklet detailing all the public bus services in Orkney is available to pick up at several locations.

The Orkney Public Bus Guide can be picked up from Visit Scotland, Stromness and Kirkwall Travel Centres, Kirkwall and Stromness Libraries, OIC’s Customer Services in Stromness and Kirkwall, and from Orkney Ferries office and on board ferries too.

Laura Cromarty is the Council’s Transportation Service Manager: “The guides clearly outline the timetable information for all bus routes across the Orkney mainland which are useful for residents and visitors to Orkney.

“It includes recent changes to timetables and details of the new evening bus services on a Friday and Saturday around the east mainland, west mainland and Kirkwall/Orphir which we’re pleased to have funding to continue to offer folk through til end of March next year.

“We’d always recommend people also check the Council’s website before travelling for any disruptions or timetable changes for example due to road works - and download the Stagecoach App which enables you to track your bus.”
