Outside normal office hours (09:00-17:00), please use the following numbers if you need to contact the council urgently.

For roads, street lighting, footway defects and conditions relating to severe weather and flooding, please phone 01856876338.

For emergency repairs to Council owned housing and other Council properties, please phone 01856873430.

If you become homeless, you should phone 07921582962 outside office hours and 07702923577 between 09:00 and 17:00.

For Orkney Health and Care (Social Work and Social Care Services), the emergency out of hours service can be contacted through the Balfour Hospital on 01856888000.
