On your marks, get set, go for Orkney's fourth Parasport Festival!

Registration for the popular event is now open!
Orkney's now well established Parasport Festival returns on Friday 28 February.
Now in its fourth year, the event offers children with physical disability, vision impairment, hearing loss or Down Syndrome a huge range of sports and fun activities to try out.
Supported by Scottish Disability Sport, the Pickaquoy Centre, the Inclusive Orkney charity, the Council's Sports and Leisure team, and local sporting club heroes from Orkney Rugby FC, Orkney Athletic and Running Club, Kirkwall Kayak Club and Orkney Amateur Swimming Club, the event takes place at the Pickaquoy Centre in Kirkwall between 9:15am and 2:30pm.
Sports Leaders from Stromness Academy will also be helping out on the day.
And there may even be a visit from a visit from Ola the Orca, official mascot of the International Island Games 2025 being held here in Orkney!
This year’s festival will offer:
Rugby
Athletics
Climbing
Swimming
Kayaking
Experts will be on hand to help adapt activities to children’s needs.
