OLECG vaccination programme support

Orkney Local Emergency Co-ordinating Group (OLECG) met on Monday 7 December and set up a small cross-agency working group to come together to support NHS Orkney with the COVID-19 vaccination programme that started this week.

Partners from Orkney Islands Council, Scottish Fire and Rescue, Police Scotland, Maritime & Coastguard Agency, VAO and the British Red Cross met with NHS colleagues to run through the logistics and practical steps that will be needed to support this critical programme, and the group will be working very closely together throughout the next few months as this is implemented.
