In the run up to Christmas, we have some key safety messages to try and keep everyone happy and healthy over the winter months.
Today’s focus is on mental health.
Christmas can be a very lonely and difficult time for some.
We have ten tips to try and keep the mind and body healthy:
- Keep active.
- Get outside.
- Keep warm.
- Eat healthily.
- See the light - some people find light therapy effective for seasonal depression. One way to get light therapy at home in winter is to sit in front of a light box for up to two hours a day.
- Take up a new hobby.
- See your friends and family.
- Talk it through.
- Join a support group.
- Seek professional help.
