Marine Services Launch Cruise Competition

Date: 9 June 2017

Time: 04:43

Eight lucky people will get the chance to tour the Queen Elizabeth cruise ship when it is in Orkney on Friday 7 July.

A competition, being run by Orkney Islands Council’s Marine Services in association with Cunard, will offer the opportunity for four people to win an exclusive guided ship’s tour, including State rooms, followed by lunch in the Brittania restaurant.

Each competition winner can take one guest each on board.

The visit will start at 10:45 and guests will leave the ship at 14:30.

Michael Morrison is the Council’s Business Development Manager. He said: “This is a fantastic opportunity and I’m delighted that Cunard have agreed to sponsor it.  The Queen Elizabeth is one of the most renowned and prestigious cruise ships in service and this will be quite an experience for our lucky competition winners.

To enter go to The Cruise Orkney website. Entries will close at midnight on Sunday 18 June and the winners will be drawn at random and notified shortly after.

Queen Elizabeth is Cunard’s newest luxury liner, named in 2010 by Her Majesty the Queen. Recalling the rich heritage of the first Cunarder to bear the name, her elegance and modern features have won her many accolades and made her a firm favourite with her passengers.
